Every year there is a tradition of having Halftime shows in which different themes were assigned every year for bands, singers, and performers to perform on the show to entertain the viewers.

From there, Coldplay threw to Bruno Mars, who played “Uptown Funk.” soon as he was done, Beyonce and her dancers began performing “Formation.” Then Beyonce, Mars, and Coldplay all together performed a rendition of “Uptown Funk.”

Their performance was to support LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer). Because as they were finishing their final song number, the audience at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, held up their placards that spelled out an inspiring message in the rainbow: "Believe in Love."
