In this specific McDonalds branch in the Philippines at Brgy. Balibago, Sta.Rosa, Laguna, a customer tried to ask for a discount. The customer is a mother who was asking for a discount because it was her daughters' birthday and they do not have enough money to pay for their meal.
Awhile ago, while we were at our duty this morning, a woman asked if they could be given discount since its the birthday of her child, but since McDonalds doesn't have a policy about it, we didn't gave her a discount. But this is what we did, we immediately played a Happy Birthday Song that was heard all through out the store. We pumped balloons, and designed a special birthday pancakes and placed a candle on it for it to be blowed by the child.
The mother's reaction was really unexpected and priceless. This is one of the best feelings of being a manager. Making someone happy in just a simple way.
